Summary of Alternatives


The airspace improvements of the Proposed Action have been organized into three geographic areas: 

  • redesign existing Special Activity Airspace (SAA) in the Northern JPARC
  • establish new SAA in the Gulf of Alaska
  • establish two large SAA complexes in the West. 

Each geographic area includes several blocks of SAA. The action alternatives include variations of the proposed new blocks of SAA in the West. The table below provides an overview of the SAA actions by alternative. The No Action Alternative will also be analyzed.
