Establish new Special Activity Airspace (SAA) in the Gulf of Alaska

  • Establish new Warning Areas (W-613 and W-354)
    • Surface up to 60,000 feet
  • Establish new Military Operations Areas (MOAs) with associated Air Traffic Control Assigned Airspace (ATCAAs) (GOA 1 and 2)
    • 10,000 feet up to 60,000 feet
  • Establish new ATCAA “bridges” (Chugach and Wrangell) to connect to redesigned North
    • 25,000 feet up to 32,000 feet
  • Proposed Use:
    • Day-to-Day – Existing W-612, W-613, and GOA 1
    • Major Flying Exercises only - ATCAA bridges, W-354 and GOA 2
