Establish two large Special Activity Airspace (SAA) complexes in the West
- Establish two SAA complexes in the West, locations vary with each Alternative:
- Alternative 1 – Neacola and Yeti
- Alternative 2 – Yeti and Bettles
- Alternative 3– Neacola and Tanana
- Each SAA complex includes:
- Military Operations Area (MOA) with Air Traffic Control Assigned Airspace (ATCAA) above
- 500 feet up to 60,000 feet
- ATCAA “Bridges” to connect to North and/or Gulf of Alaska SAA
- 38,000 feet up to 60,000 feet
- ATCAA “Shelf” on western end
- 18,000 feet up to 60,000 feet
- Military Operations Area (MOA) with Air Traffic Control Assigned Airspace (ATCAA) above
- All existing SAA in west (shown in blue on figures) replaced with new SAA complexes in the West
- Proposed Use: Day-to-Day and Major Flying Exercises
